Hebron Swap Shack

The Swap Shack allows Hebron residents to give away or trade gently used items that are clean and in working order. See acceptable item list below. Happy swapping!

RULES:

Keep it organized! Please place your items on the racks provided. Do not leave anything outside of the Swap Shack, even when open. If there is no space, try again at a later time. No leaving of bags or boxes of stuff! It is up to all of us to keep it safe and well organized.

Please, no broken or soiled items.

Visitors should park along the grassy hill in the designated spots, and spend no longer than 10 minutes in the Swap Shack.

Items Not Listed - The acceptability of any item that is not specifically identified under the Acceptable or Non-Acceptable items will be determined by the DPW staff and/or volunteers.

 ACCEPTED ITEMS:

• Household items (dishware, glasses, silverware, pots & pans, frames, etc.)

• Baby/child equipment (no car seats)

• Small furniture items in good condition (must fit in the building – lamps, footstools, folding chairs, etc.) 

• Tools (garden, mechanical, hand tools, etc. – non gas/oil powered) 

• Toys, games, puzzles, DVDs (no broken or missing pieces or parts) 

• Sports, hobby, beach equipment

NOT ACCEPTED ITEMS: 

• Batteries and electronics (wires, cords, phones, smoke alarms, broken items)

• Bedding (linens/pillows) 

• Books, magazines and newspapers 

• Carpets 

• Child safety equipment and car seats

• Clothing and shoes 

• Construction and demolition materials 

• Cosmetics and toiletries 

• Fireworks, weapons (including knives) and anything combustible (incl. propane tanks)

• Food or perishable items 

• Gas and oil powered equipment

• Household hazardous materials (paints, varnishes, chemicals, etc.)

• Items with liquid (lava lamps, snow globes)

• Large appliances (stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers, air conditioners)

• Large pieces of furniture

• Mattresses 

• Nuts, bolts, screws, nails

• Tires
